Celestino Foti and his family emigrate to Australia. He works in a fireworks factory in Menangle Park, New South Wales, whilst conducting his own displays for the local Show Societies and Italian community.

1952

See pictures of some of Vulcan's Class C Australian made fireworks from the 1960's and 70's. By 1973, International Fireworks was manufacturing 10 million sparklers and two million sky rockets per year.

In 1992, Foti International Fireworks established a joint venture company in China, and resurrecting the "Vulcan" brand name, started to manufacture display fireworks in China.

Foti win the Stockholm Water Festival International Fireworks Competition in August 1993.

1993

In 1999, Foti co-present Sydney's Millenium fireworks In 2000 and 2001 Foti present Sydney's New Year's Eve fireworks in their entirety.

Since NYE 2000, Foti have set a benchmark for firework displays on Sydney Harbour Bridge

The Foti family tradition of fireworks dates back to 1793, beginning in Messina, Sicily. In 1838, Salvatore Foti moves to the town of Sinopoli, Calabria, in Southern Italy, where some members of the Foti family are still involved in the art of fireworks.

1969

Celestino and Sam Foti establish International Fireworks after buying Vulcan Fireworks in Menangle Park, New South Wales.

1987

International Fireworks (the Foti name was incorporated in 1989) move operation to Leppington, New South Wales.

By the early 1990's, the Australian and international profile of Foti International Fireworks was increasing, with more and more invitations to display internationally to come.

Loading the largest successfully launched firework ever made in Australia. This 24 inch shell made by Foti was fired at Marti's Canowindra Balloon  Fiesta  in  1997

2000

Foti were the Official Pyrotechnic Designers, Consultants and Suppliers for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games
