In the space of four days Sydney Harbour enhanced it's reputation as one of the world's best fireworks venues with dazzling fireworks displays marking the finales of Australian Idol and the Rugby World Cup.

FOTI SIGNALS LAUNCH OF 2003 RUGBY WORLD CUP

The arrival of the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Sydney was signalled last night at the Official Capping Ceremony held at Sydney's Opera House. The moment was greeted with the lighting of the symbol of the World Cup emblazened in lights on Sydney's Harbour Bridge accompanied by a trademark spectacular fireworks display by Foti off the Sydney icon.

FOTI WINS FRENCH INTERNATIONAL
DESIGN COMPETITION

Foti International Fireworks has won First Prize at the Decazeville International Fireworks Competition in Decazeville, France. The August 1st win was capped off with the 30,000 strong audience also awarding Foti the Peoples Choice Award, making the display a pyrotechnic winning double.

The win in France was followed by a successful display at the Sakura International Fireworks Exhibition in Japan on August 2nd, where companies from Australia, Spain and Japan provided an annual pyrotechnic exhibition to a crowd of over 300,000.

INTERNATIONAL DISPLAY SEASON BEGINS IN
JAPAN AND FRANCE

August marks the beginning of a busy international display season for Foti International Fireworks with two displays on two separate continents within two days.

A team of pyrotechnicians led by Fortunato Foti departed for France to take part in an international fireworks festival to be held in Decazeville, where Foti will display on Friday August 1st. In the meantime, another team led by Tino Foti has arrived in Japan to represent Australia in a fireworks festival in the City of Sakura. A civic reception was held in honor of the pyrotechnicians (see photo), with display scheduled for Saturday August 2nd.

In other news, Foti displays are also scheduled for Canada on August 6th, Belgium on August 25th and Taiwan on September 6th of 2003.
